Miami Police Wash the Feet of the Homeless on Good Friday

In a display of servanthood on this Easter weekend, the Miami Police Department took part in the foot-washing tradition.

Officers spent Good Friday with the homeless at the Miami Rescue Mission for a Serve-a-Thon.

In the Bible, Jesus Christ washed the feet of his disciples as a display of humility.

Miami officers emulated the selfless act by washing the feet of a group of homeless people.

Food, medical and foot care were also provided to the individuals in need.
